our luxury furniture
is up in the air

political rifts
play hopscotch on the fault lines
which side are you on?

she’s always blaming
her eccentric behavior
on the moon’s cycles

her windows are stuffed
with the entire spectrum
of folding towels

neurochemistry
the periodic table
square dances with me

atomic kernels
make the mice hallucinate
a lunar fruit slice

out in the country
highways you can only find
when lightning strikes

symbols signify
the sum of their face values
to different peoples

this could be sadness
or this could be happiness
it’s all up to you

Spiritual heights
climb the orange creme cloud on
a ladder of stripes

recurring colors
rhythmic dance of line and light
new shapes emerging

nebulous lover
it’s hard to get a hold of
your gestalt patterns

escape from Time Out
run away and don’t look back
you’ve been here too long

she dashes away
to wipe off her poker face
before it can stick

a walking dream state
stumble through the centuries
in search of your muse
